Resident and Specialty Camps

The following includes descriptions for the camps we offer throughout the summer. Please see our summer schedule page for dates and prices.

Mini Camp: This three day camp is a great opportunity for campers entering second and third grade to make new friends and discover Camp Judson. Mini Camp runs from 3 pm Sunday to 10 am Wednesday and repeats again at 3 pm Wednesday to 10 am on Saturday. Registering for consecutive Mini Camps is not recommended.

Junior Camp: Junior Camp at Judson is packed with fun adventures, games, and activities. Students entering fourth, fifth, and sixth grades can enjoy the outdoors and may choose three electives to accompany their daily Bible studies.

Junior High Camp: Exciting challenges and new friendships are just two features of Junior High Camp at Camp Judson. Pre-teens entering grades seven and eight are encouraged to develop their skills while enjoying the camping experience. It’s a great chance to have some summer fun.

Summer Blast: For grades seven through twelve, this is a three-day camp open to junior and senior high students who are unable to attend a full week at Camp Judson. Summer Blast breaks away from some of the
regular camp routines but also offers a lot of your old favorites. It is a week of challenges and fun packed into just three days!

Senior High Super Week: Teens entering grades nine through twelve can take advantage of Camp Judson’s Senior High Week. Individuals can explore spiritual issues in greater depth and enjoy contemporary praise and worship music at vespers. During the week campers
select activities, play fun challenging games, and make friendships that can last a lifetime.

Wrangler Camp: This week is for campers in grades nine through twelve who are serious about horsemanship and wants to devote most of the day to learning about and working with horses. Specialized instruction takes you through the basics of proper horse care, horse anatomy, and riding skills. Those who complete this challenge attain a good understanding of the responsibility of owning horses. There is also time built into the schedule
for Bible study, swimming, and other camp related
activities.

Trailblazers: Life out-of-doors is the essence of Trailblazers. It is the prefect camp session for those who feel at home playing, learning, and sleeping in the midst of God’s creation. Hiking, canoeing, fishing, developing camping skills, sharing and singing around the fire, and more challenge the adventurous camper. This unique atmosphere promotes group cooperation and ultimately, a deeper appreciation of God and His creations.

Family Camp:
We have two organized family camps for the whole family at Judson on the 4th of July. Whether you own an RV or a tent, a beautiful lakefront site awaits your family. Cabins and guest rooms in the lodge are also available. Meals are served at the dining hall for those who would like a vacation from the kitchen. A great program is planned for the entire family including a choice of any of our supervised electives. Call the camp office for cost details and registration forms.

Arts Alive: Campers grades seven through twelve will have the opportunity to discover and use their artistic gifts (musical-instrumental and vocal, visual arts, photography, dance, etc.) to enhance their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They will also be encouraged to use this camp as a steppingstone to help them use their talents as a witness to others!

Day Camp:
We offer two weeks of fun filled Day Camps! We begin at 9 am and conclude at 3 pm each day. Campers in Kindergarten through sixth grade can sign up for one week or more if desired. Campers are asked to bring their own lunches (that are kept cold until lunchtime) and Judson will provide snacks and beverages each day.

New! - Adventures in Archeology:
This session provides an exciting introduction to archaeology through
hands on activities, including excavation of a real dig site at Judson
and various adventure challenges. The week will focus on using teamwork and critical thinking to better understand the past. For campers in grades seven through twelve.
