Senior Counselor

The central person in the ministry of a Christian Camp is the Senior Counselor. His/Her role is to spend twenty-two hours per day participating in the program and interacting with his/her campers in a way that will lead the young person to a meaningful experience in Christian living.

Non-Counseling Staff
Program Coordinator
Salary $228.40/week

Responsibilities include: working with and assisting camp directors to schedule, plan, and execute their week of camp; scheduling, coordinating, and assessment of volunteer staff; oversight and care for the non-counseling program staff, working with the managing director in leading staff training, lead staff devotional times
The purpose of this position is to ensure that each week of camp functions as smoothly as possible. To ensure that this occurs, this position: works to coordinate with camp directors in scheduling, planning, and executing each week of camp; coordinates volunteer staff; works with the managing director to prepare and train the camp staff; and works with the Program Assistant to facilitate each week of camp.

Program Assistant

Responsibilities include: working with camp staff to provide elective activities, oversight and care for the counseling staff and cabin life, working with the managing director in leading staff training,
The purpose of this position is to ensure that each camper has the best possible camp experience. To ensure that this occurs, this position: oversees the counseling staff and cabin life, works with the camp staff to provide activity electives,works with the managing director to prepare and train the camp staff; and works with the Program Coordinator to facilitate each week of camp.

Head Water Safety Instructor
Salary: $172.01/week

Age: 18 and up
Current Red Cross WSI and Lifeguard certification required while experience in sailing and canoeing is preferred. He/She is in charge of scheduling waterfront personnel and teaching swimming classes to campers. The Head WSI is responsible for all waterfront programs including staff activities and camper instruction as well as ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of the pool and waterfront equipment. He/She also guards waterfront used by daily visitors.

Water Safety Instructor
Salary: $159.65/week

Age: 18 and up
Current Red Cross WSI and Lifeguard certification required while experience in sailing and canoeing is preferred. He/She will teach swimming classes to campers. The WSI assists in waterfront programs including staff activities and camper instruction as well as ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of the pool and waterfront equipment. He/She also guards waterfront used by daily visitors.

Current Red Cross Lifeguard required. Responsibilities include daily life guarding, assisting in special waterfront events and class instruction, and maintenance of pool and waterfront equipment.

Head Wrangler
Salary: $172.01/week

Age: 18 and up
Current Certified Horsemanship Association Certification required; training is available by arrangement with the Managing Director. The Head Wrangler is responsible for all programs that involve campers and/or staff in riding activities and class instruction. He/She must ensure proper care of horses and maintenance of riding area, corral, tack, shelter, and equipment.

Assistant Wrangler

Current Certified Horsemanship Association Certification required; training is available by arrangement with the Managing Director. Responsibilities include assistance in daily instructional sessions, trail rides, and care of the horses and tack as assigned by the Head Wrangler.

Head Cook

The position of Head Cook is one of the most important and demanding jobs at camp. Responsibilities include planning menus, ordering food, preparing and serving meals, and supervising the kitchen staff. We serve 150 staff and campers per day. Salary is based on previous experience.

Assistant Cook
Salary: $220.42 - $321.36/week

The applicant for this job must have experience in the preparation of meals for large groups. He/she assists in tasks assigned by the Head Cook. When the Head Cook is off, the Assistant Cook is responsible for preparation of all meals. Salary is based on previous experience.

The Cook's Helper assists the Head Cook and Assistant Cook in the daily preparation of meals. The daily work schedule will focus around meal times with some time off between meals.

He/She performs various maintenance functions necessary in the overall operation of the camp. His/Her tasks are assigned by the Managing Director on a daily basis. He/She will also delegate jobs and supervise the performance of Junior CSPs. Indoor and outdoor positions are available.

Junior Camp Service Personnel
Salary: $88.58/week

Age: 16 and up
He/she performs various maintenance functions such as mowing grass, hauling garbage, moving equipment, and keeping things in good repair. He/She is supervised by the Senior CSP each day. Indoor & outdoor positions available.
