Volunteer Information

The following is a list of volunteer jobs available during the summer at Camp Judson. Individuals may apply to work one to three weeks by arrangement with the Program Director. Applications should reach the camp three weeks prior to your preferred week to insure scheduling.

All volunteers are required to attend pre-camp training beginning Sunday at 9:00 am. This is the morning before camp begins.

All Judson Baptist Camp staff are chosen on the basis of their personal relationship with Jesus Christ as evidenced by their desire to serve Him at camp, and their ability to work with children and adults.

Counseling Volunteers

Senior Counselor
June 13 - August 1, 2009
Age: 19 and up

The central person in the ministry of a Christian Camp is the Senior Counselor. His/Her role is to spend twenty-two hours per day participating in the program and interacting with his/her campers in a way that will lead the young person to a meaningful experience in Christian living

Junior Counselor
June 13 - August 1, 2009
Age: 15 and up

The Junior Counselor acts as an assistant to the Senior Counselor. He/She plays a vital role in the ministry by living, participating and interacting with the campers for twenty-two hours per day. His/her performance must serve as a witness in Christian living to other young people.

Non-Counseling Volunteers

Junior Camp Service Personnel (CSP)
June 13 - August 1, 2009
Age: 15 and up

The Junior CSP performs routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks as assigned by the Senior CSP. Their manual tasks are necessary functions in the overall operation of the camp. indoor and outdoor positions available.

Junior Wrangler
June 13 - August 1, 2009
Age: 16 and up

Requirements: Certified Horsemanship Association elementary certificate or comparable horsemanship experience.

Responsibilities of the Junior Wrangler will include assistance in daily instructional session, trail rides, as assigned by Head Wrangler. The position is designed to provide training and experience for future consideration as an assistant wrangler.
